BuiltWith API reference
Get BuiltWith's public technology data as JSON: the most used web technologies with how many live sites run each one, and BuiltWith's ranking of top sites with their traffic and social bands.
The BuiltWith API has 2 endpoints, called the same way: POST /execute with the endpoint ID as capability and its fields as input, or pin BuiltWith in the MCP server and call each one as a tool. The data comes back as JSON in results[0].data, with what the call cost in billing.credits_charged.
Every endpoint costs 1.5 credits per call, and a failed call costs nothing.

What to know
- BuiltWith's own counts Live-site counts and rankings are the numbers BuiltWith publishes, returned as it shows them.
- Bands, not exact figures Traffic and social following on top sites are BuiltWith's bands, such as Very High or 200,000+.
- The full public lists Each call returns BuiltWith's whole public list. Send limit to take fewer.
- Track it over time Call on a schedule and keep each result to see which technologies gain or lose sites.
